And always ready for what’s next.Job DescriptionAs a Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you will lead the infrastructure team responsible for managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuously improving customer environments.You will be leading a group of professionals, which includes but are not limited to System Admins and Network Admins, and serve as the final technical escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents. Your mission is to ensure stable, secure, and highly available infrastructures across multiple managed services customers.This is an operations‑focused leadership role and reports directly to the Head of IT. You will own service reliability, incident response, and continuous improvement of existing environments, while working closely with Professional Services, Service Desk, Technology Alignment Management, and other teams to ensure smooth onboarding and operational readiness of new or significantly changed systems.Key leadership responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary infrastructure team including but not limited to System Admins and Network Admins.
  • Own escalation workflows and act as final technical escalation point for critical incidents.
  • Manage workload distribution, shift coverage, and on‑call escalation rotations.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing technical development of team members.
  • Establish and continuously improve operational processes, incident management, and service delivery practices.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, documentation, and continuous improvement.
You will be responsible to:
  • Ensure stability, performance, and availability of customer infrastructures across on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
  • Oversee monitoring systems and alerting to enable proactive incident detection and resolution.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures following major incidents.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities including patching, firmware updates, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead response for high‑severity infrastructure incidents.
  • Coordinate cross‑team troubleshooting efforts and vendor engagement when required.
  • Communicate technical status and remediation plans to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Participate in escalation rotations for after‑hours critical incidents.
  • Ensure backup systems are functioning and regularly tested.
  • Oversee disaster recovery readiness and periodic DR testing activities.
  • Define and Validate recovery objectives (RPO/RTO) against customer requirements.
  • Continuously improve resilience strategies across managed environments.
  • Ensure infrastructure environments follow security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee identity systems including Active Directory and Entra ID integrations.
  • Collaborate with security teams on vulnerability remediation and incident response.
  • Promote configuration standardization and hardening across environments.
  • Partner with Professional Services and Pre-Sales teams during project handovers.
  • Review new environments for operational readiness before acceptance into managed services.
  • Provide operational feedback to influence future infrastructure designs and standards
  • Ensure accurate and consistent documentation of environments, procedures, and recovery plans.
  • Define and maintain operational standards and runbooks.
  • Promote knowledge sharing across infrastructure teams.

  • Strong experience supporting virtualization environments, especially VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of Windows Server and Linux systems in production.
  • Understanding clustering, replication, and high availability concepts.
  • Experience supporting SAN and enterprise storage platforms.
  • Understanding enterprise networking concepts including VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network‑related performance and connectivity issues.
  • Experience operating Azure IaaS and core PaaS services.
  • Understanding Azure networking, identity, backup, and site recovery services.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hybrid connectivity and cloud performance issues.
  • Hands‑on experience with enterprise backup solutions.
  • Experience validating restores and participating in DR exercises.
  • Understanding replication and recovery orchestration.
Other requirements:
  • Strong leadership, communication, task management, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience leading technical operations teams or acting as senior escalation resource.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Experience supporting multi‑customer or multi‑site enterprise environments.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or systems administration roles.
  • Mobility: Hybrid role — work from home with 2–3 days per week at the Santo Domingo office or onsite with customers.
