Overview:The React Native Mobile Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, debugging, and troubleshooting innovative software solutions for existing product enhancements and new product applications. Responsibilities:
  • Develops intuitive, secure, and highly scalable mobile applications that rely on persistent local storage, network connectivity, offline capability, and web APIs
  • Provides feedback on existing products and contributes to new product feature design
  • Strives to cover new and modified code with appropriate unit test coverage
  • Tests solutions locally on all supported mobile platforms (such as iOS and Android) to ensure consistent behavior and user experience across platforms
  • Provides ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements to existing applications
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with business users, project managers, UX designers, and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions
  • Provides recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Works alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
  • Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • Strong English reading comprehension and written communication skills are required
  • 3-5 years of programming experience with mobile technologies
  • Technology expertise must include React Native, Expo, TypeScript, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS
  • Experience with state technologies desired. Zustand knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with local storage technologies desired. SQLite knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with logging technologies like Firebase and Sentry.io is a plus
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs or microservices is a plus
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies a plus
  • Experience with C# is a plus
  • Risk management and insurance expertise is a plus
  • Prior experience with managing client product implementations is a plus
